SEQUIM — Sequim High School senior Melissa Karapostoles was recently honored as Sequim High School Girl of the Month by the Clallam County branch of the American Association of University Women.
Karapostoles is a member of the National Honor Society at Sequim High School and Phi Theta Kappa honor society at Peninsula College, and she has participated in numerous theater productions at college.
Her resume also includes being a tutor at Sequim Middle School, the high school representative for the Sequim Education Foundation’s board of directors and the communications committee chair for the Washington State Legislative Youth Advisory Council.
Karapostoles plans to attend a four-year university this fall with the goal of graduating from law school and working as a law clerk for the International Court of Justice, the judicial branch of the United Nations.
She is the daughter of Burton and Caitlin Karapostoles of Sequim.
