The deadline to apply for scholarships at Peninsula College is quickly approaching.

More than $37,000 in scholarship funds is available for the 2010-2011 academic year.

All applications for scholarships must be on file with Peninsula College by the end of the work day Friday, April 9.

Available scholarships include Peninsula College Foundation-supported awards for graduating high school seniors (total of $5,000), general scholarships and program-specific ones, such as those for nursing.

While many scholarships are based on financial need, several are not.

Individuals who are planning on attending Peninsula College during the 2010-2011 academic year should visit the college Web site to explore available scholarship opportunities.

Inquiries may also be directed to the college’s financial aid office at 360-417-6390.
