SEQUIM —The schedule for the “Class Act at Woodcock Gardens” series has been announced by the sponsors, Washington State University Clallam County Master Gardener program and the Master Gardener Foundation of Clallam County.
The series will kick off its programs with a class on growing ornamental grasses and bamboo at the Master Gardener demonstration garden, 2711 Woodcock Road, from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 18.
Janet Oja will discuss proper placement and maintenance methods for the late winter and spring for a variety of grasses that grow well locally.
She will also demonstrate the tools needed for maintaining them.
Bob Kauffman will talk about bamboo and the varieties that grow well on the North Olympic Peninsula.
The “Class Act at Woodcock Gardens” presentations will continue until October, usually the first Wednesday and third Saturday of each month.

The schedule for May has not been announced.
