Laughter is great medicine.

Need proof?

Attend Sequim High School’s “Senior Night Live” and see how you feel after laughing out loud at the dozens of famous and original skits.

“Senior Night Live” promises to be a feast for
anyone who needs a good laugh.

“It pays homage to comedy greats including George Carlin, Wayne and Shuster, Monty Python and Carol Burnett,” said Robin Hall, co-director of the show.

Parodies from “MAD TV,” “The Office” and
“Twilight” along with spoofs on the “Wizard of Oz” and “It’s a Wonderful Life” and some original
musical production numbers round out the evening of comedy.

Hall said all the skits are appropriate for people of all ages.

“It is a show that everyone in the family can
enjoy,” she said.

Performances will take place in the Sequim High School Auditorium, 601 N. Sequim Ave., at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29 and Saturday, Jan. 30, and Friday, Feb. 5 and Saturday, Feb. 6.

Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens, children under 12 years of age and students with an Associated Student Body identification card.

Tickets will be sold at the door the night of the event.

“It is going to be a really entertaining and fun evening,” said Kyla Hall, Sequim High School senior class president.

Hall plays the role of an upset customer in the Monty Python skit, “The Dead Parrot.”

“This is the first time I have participated in a school play, and I have had so much fun,” Hall said.

“I’ve had to learn a British accent for the role, which has been really challenging and fun. I also
really liked picking out my costume.

“We have some really wonderful costumes for this play.”

The show is directed by Robin Hall and Jimmy Hall with costumes by Darrelynne Sutton.

“The cast and crew are having a great time during rehearsals,” Robin Hall said.

Seniors participating in the show include Caitlin Pallai, Daniel Hall, David Lopes, Gabi Marcy, Hannah Stephens, Jordy Shearer, Kyla Hall, Megan Wright, Meredith Roberts, Stephanie Gooch and Turi Anderson.

Supporting the seniors are underclassmen Abby Berry, Alyssa Habner, Chris Lopes, Havilah Gautschi, Heather Brown, Isaac Gautschi, James Willis, Joey Hall, Kinzie Winfield, Kyla Simonson, Mallory Maloney, Rachel Chumley and Sam Faulk.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the senior class in several ways.

“Attending the play is an easy way to support the school,” Kyla Hall said.

“You will help the senior class and get an evening of really fun and clever entertainment in return.”

Hall said funds raised during “Senior Night Live” will help seniors hold the Senior Ball at the Admiral Theatre in Bremerton on May 1.

Proceeds will also help pay for flowers, pamphlets and other supplies for the outdoor graduation ceremony.

“We are hoping to raise a lot of money for the senior class,” she said.

“So please come out to have a laugh and support your school.”
