Public benefits set to help family

SEQUIM — A benefit spaghetti dinner and silent auction to help a family with medical expenses will take place at the Oak Table Café, 292 W. Bell St., between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday,
Jan. 31.
All of the proceeds will help the Goodwin Family of Port Angeles shoulder expenses affiliated with battling Tami Goodwin’s cancer.
Goodwin is currently undergoing treatment for a rare form of sarcoma cancer.
The family has lived on the North Olympic Peninsula for more than 35 years.
“The Oak Table personnel and owners are generously donating their time and the associated expenses,” organizers said.
In addition, several local businesses are making donations.
The silent auction will take place during the dinner.
Presale tickets cost $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 years of age and children under five are free.
Presale tickets are available at The Oak Table in Sequim or in Port
Angeles at Green Crow, 727 E. 8th St.
Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door the evening of the event for $2 more than the pre-sale costs.
Donations can be made at any First Federal branch to the “The Tami Goodwin Fund.”

A talent show will take place in the Port Angeles High School auditorium, 304 E. Park Ave., at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29. A silent auction will begin at
6 p.m. in the auditorium foyer.
Tickets cost $8 for adults, $5 for students and $20 for a family of four.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or at Green Crow, the Port Angeles High School Bookkeeper, 304 E. Park Ave., or Port Book & News, 104 E. First St.
