SEQUIM — The third annual Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) Holiday Bazaar, Bake Sale and Raffle will be held in the Pioneer Memorial Park Clubhouse, 387 E. Washington St., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.
The fundraiser supports educational opportunities for women and will feature jewelry created by Sequim-based West Coast Sea Glass.
“We’re thrilled that West Coast Sea Glass is participating in our holiday bazaar,” said Carolyn Muldown, president of P.E.O. Chapter JC in Sequim.
West Coast Sea Glass, an award-winning company, was founded by Sequim resident Mary Beth Beuke.
Bazaar sale items will also include an array of handmade crafts and gifts, cuddly lavender animals, mugs, distinctive cookbooks, tiles, cutting boards and knives and homemade baked goods.
Two P.E.O. chapters will hold raffle drawings.
In addition to Chapter JC, Sequim chapters EP, FY, H, and IV and Chapter CR from Port Angeles will participate in the fundraiser.
Chapter JC puts on the annual bazaar to raise scholarship funds and help people learn about P.E.O.
P.E.O., established in 1869, provides financial aid for women worldwide for undergraduate and graduate studies. It also owns and operates Cottey College, a two-year liberal arts college for women, in Missouri.
P.E.O. has nearly 250,000 members in the United States and Canada.
