SEQUIM — Sequim schools alumni from all generations will gather at Sequim High School on Saturday, Aug. 13, for the 2011 Sequim All-Schools Reunion.
Former students and teachers of Sequim High School and any other school within the Sequim School District, including elementary or middle schools, are invited to attend.
More than 400 attendees have registered for the reunion so far, representing Sequim High School graduating classes from 1934 to the mid-1980s.
Reunion events include a Saturday morning golf tournament at SkyRidge Golf Course and a range of activities at Sequim High School, 601 N. Sequim Ave., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., including lunch, an afternoon assembly featuring guest speakers from different graduating classes and a classic car show.
Attendees are encouraged to participate in the car show by bringing their vintage vehicles to display in the high school parking lot.
Reunion activities conclude on Saturday evening with a dinner featuring live music and dancing at 7 Cedars Casino in Blyn.
Reunion attendees are also invited to attend two separate community events, both in Sequim, on Sunday, Aug. 14.
The Sequim Pioneer Picnic is at noon at the old Macleay School, 290 Macleay Road, and the Museum & Arts Center in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley will host a special open house from noon to 4 p.m. at the historical Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Rd., that includes refreshments and a book signing by Clallam County Schools, East to West author Irene Wyman.
